Consumer Financial Protection Bureau chair Elizabeth Warren has named a former Freddie Mac official alongside two bankers as senior hires at the organisation.
Announced yesterday, former senior director for State and Industry Relations Zixta Martinez at Freddie Mac will manage the agency’s links to consumer groups and community organisations.
She will be joined by Rajeev Date, an adviser to Warren at the Treasury Department and a former Deutsche Bank managing director, who will head up the bureau’s research, markets and regulations team.
Elizabeth Vale, Morgan Stanley managing director who was previously a vice president at Philadelphia National Bank, will also join as assistant director for community banks and credit unions.
Warren praised the team as being “top-notch leaders with a wide range of experiences”.
