CEBS publishes operational risk guidelines
Tuesday 12 October 2010 - by Nicola York
The Committee of European Banking Supervisors has published its guidelines on the management of operational risk in market-related activities today.
This follows the publication of CEBS’ principles on internal governance, risk management and remuneration policies.
The latest guidelines are more specific principles and implementation measures for the identification, assessment, control and monitoring of operational risk in market-related activities.
The paper aims to highlight supervisory expectations relating to specific arrangements, procedures, mechanisms and systems in trading areas that could prevent or mitigate operational risk events.
CEBS expects its members to implement the guidelines on market-related activities by 30 June 2011.
