UAE signs money-laundering MoU with Dubai

The United Arab Emirates anti-money laundering regulator has signed a memoranda of understanding with Dubai regulators in a bid to further combat money-laundering.
The head of the UAE’s Anti-Money Laundering and Suspicious Cases Unit met with the executive chairman of Dubai Multi Commodities Centre and Dubai Gold and Commodities Exchange at the Central Bank of the UAE today.
The MoU included mutual cooperation in different areas that are of interest to both parties, regarding financial information related to money laundering and terrorism financing in order to support, enhance and strengthen policies of combating these issues.
AMLSCU said: “This demonstrates our commitment to enhance cooperation with our domestic strategic partners to coordinate the efforts on encountering money laundering and combating terrorist financing and related crimes.”
